和维姆料想的一样，这种新奇的创作很快就吸引了无数人的目光，很多人向他购买猪皮以及纹身猪的标本，还会有人专门打电话来定制图案。不得不说维姆的纹身技术炉火纯青，即使是在猪的身上，这些花纹也显得美轮美奂，迪士尼公主、一丛丛鲜艳的玫瑰、花纹华丽的浮雕……所有的图案都精致又栩栩如生。
最值得一提的是，著名法国奢侈品牌香奈儿还曾向维姆收购过一张纹身猪皮，成交价格是55万英镑，约合人民币50万。这张猪皮上纹的是迪士尼公主，后来被香奈儿做成了两个全球限量款包包，但不知道是材质还是其他原因，这款包看起来不仅不算好看，而且还有点可怕。不过也许有些人就喜欢这种风格也说不定。

但维姆本人并不这么想，他表示：“有才能和远见的艺术家不会靠虐待动物来吸引眼球。”这些猪都是“为了艺术献身”，他本人也是在追求艺术而已，不存在虐待一说。虽然至今维姆的活猪纹身依旧存在争议，但他一直没有停止自己的创作，表示今后还会有更多艺术品等待着他去创作和发掘。
