维姆需要长达两个月的时间，才能完成一幅他的作品。

而这些被纹身后的猪会被他以高价卖掉，慢慢的他发现了商机。

开展览、售卖猪皮， 一 开始只是动物保护者协会的警告，指责他有虐待动物的行为，他并不在意。

就在维姆快走上人生巅峰时，他却收到了一张法院的传票，发出传票的人，正是香奈儿，而告维姆的原因，是他涉嫌侵权。

维姆在给猪纹身时，所使用的图案中有大量的商业logo， 还售卖过猪皮，所以面临被香奈儿的巨额处罚。

面对高昂处罚，他完全没有能力支付，但他很快就想到，将侵权的猪皮出售给香奈儿，于是，香奈儿限量款就这样问世了。

2008年，香奈儿利用从维姆那里收购的纹身猪皮，制作成了2个限量款手提包，这款还没开售就被人以高价预定，以纹身猪皮作为噱头，共卖出55万英镑（约50万人民币）。

时至今日，维姆·德尔瓦依旧是个备受争议的“艺术家”，很多人认为他只能是一个商人，完全无法配得上艺术家的身份。

或许在普通人眼中这些艺术家们都是一些具有稀奇古怪举动的“疯子”，但其实他们只是通过这种方式来发现事物的美，并且将这种美展现在人们面前，然而有些艺术家的举动却很出格，比如说笔者给大家介绍的这位给活猪纹身的艺术家。

1965年，维姆出生于比利时，他是一位艺术家，艺术风格大胆独特，曾经将废弃的轮胎雕刻成精美的艺术品。1977年，维姆出门游玩寻找创作灵感，在经过一家农场时，农场主热情地招待了他，并邀请他去农场进行参观游览。

而就在参观农场的过程中，他偶然间看见了农场主的孩子在活猪身上胡乱涂鸦的场景，这一场景令他脑海中灵光一闪，想到了一个极具创意的点子，那就是在活猪身上进行纹身创作。

维姆迫不及待地从农场买来一头猪，准备实施他这个极其创意的点子，然而猪毕竟是动物，听不懂人类的指令，因此在给猪纹身过程中常常遇到一些意想不到的麻烦，比如说对猪的麻醉剂使用量，不仅要使猪在整个创作过程中都处于麻醉状态还要避免用药过量导致猪死亡。

除此之外，给一头活猪完成纹身的过程相当繁琐，往往需要几个月时间才能够完成。虽然纹身过程非常困难，但这种新奇的创作方式也使得很多猎奇者争相购买维姆的作品，这给维姆带来了相当丰厚的收入。

虽然维姆利用活猪纹身赚取了很多钱财，但这也为他带来了不少麻烦。2004年，维姆曾经收到一张法院传票，而将他告上法庭的则是世界著名的奢侈品牌香奈儿公司，原来维姆没有经过香奈儿公司的同意便将这个公司的标志纹到了猪身上，这使得他面临着巨额赔偿。

但是面对香奈儿公司的起诉，维姆却显得相当平静，后来他直接找到香奈儿公司的高层寻求合作，相关高层经过商讨后发现这一独特的设计是个很大的商机，于是便同意了维姆的合作请求，将猪纹身做成了限量版的皮包，而这也使得维姆获得了50万元的收入。

此后维姆便和香奈儿公司达成了长期合作协议，但在活猪身上进行纹身创作这一做法也引起了很多动物保护者的反感，他们认为在活猪身上纹身会让动物感到疼痛，艺术创作不应该建立在伤害动物的基础之上，在一定程度上可以说，维姆的这一行为是在虐待动物。对此维姆并没有作出表态，而香奈尔公司为了维护自身的公司形象也终止了与维姆的合作，但维姆本人并没有停止猪纹身的创作。

后来维姆在我国顺义某个村庄开办了一个养猪场，在这里饲养的活猪都将被纹上纹身。维姆饲养的猪不仅每天被喂食健康的食材，还要保持一定的运动量，甚至还配有专人为它们洗澡，很多猪身上都有着炫酷的纹身，看上去十分时尚潮流，而维姆每天的工作就是从中挑选出一头活猪，打上麻醉药，然后进行一天的创作。

实际上，即使打了麻药，当猪苏醒时仍然会感到纹身带来的疼痛，当纹身完成之后也就意味着这头猪的生命到达了终点。维姆会屠宰掉这头猪，然后整张猪皮完整剥离下来，这样也就形成了一副完整的活猪纹身作品。

虽然这种创作方式令维姆受到很多指责，但在他看来，猪的命运最终就是化作人类餐桌上的美食，而他在猪身上进行艺术创作可以说是赋予了猪另类的新生，让它能够变成更有价值的存在继续留存在世界上。

对于维姆在活猪身上进行创作的方式，至今褒贬不一，但笔者认为以动物作为设计创意本身就有些残忍，以伤害动物为手段来满足自己创作的欲望并不可取，要对生命保持基本的尊重。
