由此可以看出，马云的退休是早就计划的，他早就为自己选好了接班人。而之前的王石，在这一点上就没有马云做得到位。企业要有生命力，就必须有源源不断地人才梯队，在这一点上，马云的合伙人制度正好。

而从个人的角度，马云这个举动也是很明智的，正如马云所说：我不想死爱办公室，不想被拍死在沙滩上。我们不得不承认，人到一定时候，生理机能的退化是必然的，精力不可能再如从前，以其被动退休，不如优雅转身，在自己的能力圈内做自己最喜欢的事情。
